Homily: Be As You Truly Are

As recent storms and power outages jolted us into remembering, we are much more than the noises and distractions that surround us. And we are much more than needs and urgencies of each day. Rather, like the Publican in Christ's parable, we are persons in need of God's mercy, love, and healing. A homily for the Sunday of the Publican and the Pharisee.
