Discerning the Will of God (Homily)

Writer's picture: Fr. Thomas ColyandroFr. Thomas Colyandro

In this homily from 12 January (Sunday after Theophany/Epiphany), Fr. Thomas explains the spiritual necessity and psychological importance of discerning the will of God in our lives, understanding the individual gifts each of us has been given, and choosing to live according to what God needs from us (instead of what the world wants).

He encouraged us to ask God for the gift of obedience and to make the choice to follow Him every single day. This act of faith and hope in love is not unlike what happened for the apostles and disciples at Pentecost.

Be merciful and help others heal. Pray unceasingly.
