The cross is a scandal to the world, but we know it revealed the resurrection and lit the path for our salvation. Christ showed us the joy of doing the will of the Father while being accompanied by the Holy Spirit. So, do not lose hope when life's difficulties overwhelm you.
Discern the will of God in your life and follow it with love, joy, passion, and mercy. Then you will enter into Paradise for all eternity!
Now the flaming sword no longer guards the gates of Eden / it has mysteriously been quenched by the wood of the Cross! / The sting of death and the victory of hell have been vanquished / for You, O my Savior, have come and cried to those in hell / “Enter again into paradise.” (Kontakion - Tone 7)
