Living Between the Earthly and Heavenly (Homily)

On Sunday, August 11, Fr. Thomas spoke about the meaning of the ecclesiastical time between the Transfiguration and the Dormition (Assumption) of the Theotokos. He illustrated how Jesus showed Peter, James, and John His own Glory, bathing them in the Uncreated light. Fr. Thomas also explained how Mary died a normal human death but immediately entered the Heavenly Kingdom with the glory that is only available to us in the Second Coming. Finally, he stressed that while all of us are broken; by following the will of God, we are brought closer to His light and love.
