In this homily from 1 December 2024, Fr. Thomas explains the meaning of the faith of the blind man who sought healing from Jesus in Luke 18:35-43. Since each one of us has physical, emotional, intellectual, and/or relational infirmities - as well as constant spiritual difficulties - we are called to approach God in faith and ask for the type of healing that He desires for us at a particular moment in time.
To do this, we must reach out to God in prayer, thought, word, and deed. In other words, whenever something bad befalls us in life, we must remember to get up off the ground, seek healing, and walk anew in the presence of the Holy Spirit.
