Jesus Restores and Saves Us (Homily)

On Lazarus Saturday, we re-discover how Jesus mourns the death of His friend only six days before His own death. We hear how He chooses to bring him back to life as a reminder of the universal resurrection. We learn that He confronts those who doubt who He is. Then there is the Apostle Thomas who says, "Let us go with Christ and die with Him." Today, let us remember that when we are tired, thirsty, hungry, and corrupt from our sins, it is Jesus who restores us and brings us into everlasting life.
